Need some fun ideas for “getting to know you” questions for my new instructors. I want to do more than send their bios and headshots in an email to introduce them.
Any favorite materials (books, online workshops, thought leaders, etc) for anatomy training? I'm personally interested in deepening my anatomy knowledge, and also have heard a lot of interest from apprentices in the certification program at my studio.
The next wave of instructors seems to be more curious about the "why" (and not just "how") of fitness training. It's wonderful to see ❤️
Hello! I’m new to this group! I am located in Cambridge, MA, and am planning a studio expansion to hopefully open in Jan 2025. I am the sole owner and teacher, and will be adding more space and equipment to be able to offer small group equipment and mat classes. With this, I will need to hire a teacher or two. Any advice on all things related to hiring is appreciated (e.g., did you use a lawyer to draw up employment contracts, offer health insurance, payment structure, and timeline for hiring people when planning an expansion). Many thanks for any help provided!
Hi,
Has anyone used tailor my brand to set up their LLC? Or do I just get an LLC online ?
I’m getting ready to start my at home pilates stuido where I’ll prob do private Reformer and maybe small group mat classes.
I’m looking into acuity or arketa for scheduling and squarespace and showit for websites . I’ll take any advice or suggestions so let me know what you all recommend! Thank you!!
When you finally see it all in action. The power of consistency.
Hi!
Please share who you have your liability insurance with, please. I just realized that my policy has lapsed and my guy is not responding to me. Thank you!
Opening up a Pandora's box here... would love to hear what brands of equipment (ahem, apparatus) people are using.
I'm Classically trained, and most comfortable with Peak equipment, but have been disappointed with quality ever since the company was acquired.
As much as I respect the authenticity of Gratz, it's off-putting to most folks. But on the other end of the spectum, Balanced Body/Allegro is way too "Fisher-Price" for my taste.
One of my peers recently outfitted her studio with the Spanish brand Elina. She's very happy, I'm still feeling it out.
Thanks in advance! ❤️
Do you have a late payment fee?
ie:
Our memberships are set to bill upon purchase date. Clients can book their classes on a rolling 30 day schedule. (This works for our studio/instructors schedules and not something that we are able to change at this time)
We are running into an issue with 2-3 clients where they are religiously late to pay for their membership but can attend classes if they have them booked prior to their auto bill declining. Their card will decline for 2-3 weeks at a time. I’m wondering if I should put a “account will be frozen after XX days” rule into effect or “$XX amount will be billed” if not paid on time.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
