Oh yes and I also worked with Danielle Stead Blanton fort instructor agreement! Highly recommend. She can advise on HR stuff too! Sheā€™s also fabulous!

Yes! I worked with Shay Kostabi from Fitness Career Mastery & Group X Conservatory. She was so helpful and amazing to work with! I had written a manual for the studio I worked at before but just didnā€™t have to capacity to do my own on top of all the studio ownership stuff and she was fantastic!

Can I create a form in flodesk and use it as an invite for people to rsvp to an event with their email? Its for our anniversary party. I donā€™t want to do it through the booking system but do need an idea of how many people will show up.

What about @havenbyallie or @havenstudiobyallie?

Make sure you have a very clear handbook/manual with studio guidelines in place and an instructor agreement. And there is no detail too small to put in. If you want a cohesive brand experience this is essential and way harder to implement down the road when things are getting out of whack.

Also never hire out of desperation. No matter how much you need help you have to run every person through the filter of being the perfect fit for your studio.

Lastly trust your gut. If thereā€™s anything saying it may be not be the right fit, donā€™t bring them on.

Need some fun ideas for ā€œgetting to know youā€ questions for my new instructors. I want to do more than send their bios and headshots in an email to introduce them.

I have a new instructor Iā€™ve been training giving her final community class this week before going on the schedule! Also looking forward to taking some time away from the biz LDW to be with my fam before the fall insanity. Feels so good to be able to step away for a much needed break and not worry that it will kill my business or bottom line. šŸ˜Š

I donā€™t record in-studio classes, but for my on demand, I used a Canon DSLR with a RODE wireless go mic and it was always fabulous. Only caveat is that the DSLR only records for 30 min which was fine for me, because I always did short workouts. I have seen lots of people using iPhones or iPads now though since the cameras have gotten so good. Just get an external HD to store the videos. When I was doing live virtual, I just used a webcam and recorded through zoom. Quality wasnā€™t as good for sure but the sound was and that was most important to me. I may venture into doing some class livestreams but itā€™s harder with equipment classes.

Hi! Anyone have a beanie that theyā€™ve branded and love? I definitely want to do one this fall/winter but the fit is so important. Thx!
