I have been the instructor renting space in a studio! the person I rented from kept rates really low - $15/hour. But she is really clear on a few things: 1. rentals only happen during times that the studio isn't active, 2. teachers renting are under 10 hours/week, 3. it's a way that she wants to support up and coming teachers, 4. it's a way for her to offload new clients when she's full (and she's fine not being interested in scaling right now). Once I hit over 10 hours/week she asked me to transition to a flat monthly rate but the other renters will stay where they are. happy to answer questions about the instructor/renter side of things if it's helpful!

seconding this, from the instructor perspective dinner or spa feels generous and bonding and genuine!!

I don't like the lower cost balanced body equipment, but I like the versatility and accessible dimensions of the higher quality balanced body stuff. I was trained on gratz and always miss the sturdy springs so I bought some of those to make up for balanced body springs that didn't feel like enough (especially for push through bars)!

ohh i'm excited to follow this conversation. I'm currently on acuity for 1:1s and it's been working well. I'm working on adding on demand videos so doing a trial run with arketa, and trying to decide if it's worth it to switch to one platform. I like the idea of everything being in one place but also having separation anxiety from acuity haha. And can't totally tell if they have all the same features / what the options are for keeping things smooth and prettyy.
