You gotta do what’s right for you. Trust that when something in no longer in alignment with you, it’s also no longer in alignment with the whole / greater good. Take care of yourself first and the rest always follows. I would go about it very transparently. “This isn’t working for me anymore. Thank you for the opportunity. This is the shift I need to make.” People respect and appreciate that immensely. Personally, I prefer for someone to be straight up w/ me vs try to please me; and then how I take it is my responsibility, not theirs.
