I wanted to share a lovely customer service thing I experienced today that I feel this group would love to implement (if you don’t already)
I had a facial scheduled for noon, at 830 this morning I got a text from the business that they were without power and preemptively moving everyone’s appointments back 15 min. Then I got another text at 11:15 that they were running 40min behind.
I know thay solopreneurs doing 1:1s may not always be able to do this, but having a 7mo old that I was organizing care for, it meant a lot to me to not be sitting in their lobby for an extra 40min on top of the hour appt and the 40min of driving both ways.
I know this doesn’t apply to everyone here but I 1000% would rather know you’re running late and adjust my schedule than show up and wait for more than 10MIN.
It just made me feel like my time was important to them and I felt taken care of.
Does anyone have ideas for a client achievement gift?
I've been working with one of my clients for 3+ years and he just reached his big goal. When we started working together, he had constant pain and it was deeply affecting his mental health. We've worked together through his diagnosis, hip surgery, and so many ups & downs. He's on vacation right now and his wife told me that he's been able to hike 4-6 miles each day with no issues!!!!
I want to have a celebratory gift for when he's back next week. All and any ideas are greatly appreciated 🥰
Pilates studios - what speakers do you use? We don’t have any beat based classes anymore so I’m looking to sell our mixer, headphones, amp, and speakers and streamline into something that didn’t take floor space.

I’ve been using my home address but I’m shifting my biz entity from Sole Prop to LLC and I am wondering if I should get an alternative mailing address. In New York you publish the LLC and address so I’m not sure about publishing my home address…

How do you guys handle people asking to extend the intro offer? I want to be kind yet it’s also discounted for a reason! This client says she will repurchase later this weekend who knows if that will truly happen. What’s your thoughts?
Does anyone have class minimum numbers to run a class and if so how do you handle that? This doesn’t happen often but I want to have a policy for it so that clients and instructors expectations are set. I’d love to hear what you do at your studio.

Does anyone use Stripe and take in-person payments with it? I'm trying to move away from Square, but I need the ability to swipe or take a chip card. Stripe help documentation is super unclear on whether or not I'll need to custom code an app in order to use their readers.
